Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Demo Prototype Operations

AkilamStore operates entirely with test transactions. Payments run in Razorpay test mode. No real money moves, and consequently no real banking refunds are issued.

2. Order Cancellations & Simulated Refunds

When a seller cancels an order from the admin dashboard:

  • For Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, the order status transitions to cancelled and reserved variant inventory is immediately restocked.
  • For Razorpay online payments, the system triggers Razorpay's test refund endpoint, records the generated test refund identifier, transitions payment status to refunded, and restocks inventory.

3. Customer Inquiries

Since all products and checkout transactions on this platform are demonstration-only, no return shipments or chargeback requests can be processed. Feedback can be directed to hello@akilamstore.demo.
